The evening will take place at the Belgian Comic Strip Centre on Thursday, April 11th , from 7.30 PM.
Enhanced by an exceptional Art Nouveau home designed by Victor Horta, the Comics Art Museum is just as much a tribute to the pioneers as a glimpse of contemporary comics art. . The building, inaugurated in 1906, originally served as a warehouse to textile baron Charles Waucquez. This period (late nineteenth – early twentieth century) coincides with the beginnings of modern comic strips.
The gala ticket includes a free visit of the museum about Belgium’s best-known comic strip heroes: Tintin, Spirou, the Smurfs, Marsupilami, etc.
The Comics Art Museum is located in the centre of Brussels, near the Grand-Place, the Galleries Saint-Hubert or the Cathedral of Saints-Michael-and-Gudula.
Rue des Sables 20, 1000 Brussels.
